The Walking Dead: Episode 1 "Days Gone Bye"

From: Ace of Spades HQ

I just got done watching the premiere of AMC’s new Zombie Miniseries “The Walking Dead”, and I am NOT disappointed. I’m not familiar with the source material, but when I heard that Frank Darabont (“The Shawshank Redemption”) was going…

    An Appeal to Black Voters

    From: Gateway Pundit

    By Reboot Congress.

One thing to always remember about an election is to ask the voters to vote for your candidates. I’ve long thought that the GOP has done a poor job asking black voters to vote for Republican candidates.

In this election cycle, the Republicans have 14 black candidates running for Congress. (Notably, there are 18 Latinos, 4 Asians, and a whole lot of women, too.) I found references to the fourteen, but I had to look around to find out who they were. Fortunately, I found www.OperationBlackStorm.com.

Those two facts—the need to ask for each person’s vote and a great slate of black Republicans running for Congress—inspired the video above.

Simply put: “please vote Republican on Tuesday.”

I posted more about this video at Reboot Congress. If you want the elephant I created for the video, you can download a black and white JPEG or SVG (Adobe Illustrator) version. I’ve also created flyers/business cards that you could hand-out at polling places (observing all local laws, of course). You could either tailor this MS-Word version to the races in your district or you could use the generic “vote conservative/vote republican” message on this PDF version.

BUMMER. Kid Dresses Up as Obama Joker For White House Halloween Party

    From: Gateway Pundit

On the bright side, the president didn’t have another meltdown.

President and Michelle Obama greeted kids for Halloween at the White House.
    They didn’t expect this…
One of the kids dressed as Obama Joker.

The kid forgot to write “Socialist” on his T-shirt.

The president pushed the poor child on his way.

A Little More Eeyorism (Which I Mention Just To Make Sure You Vote)

    From: Ace of Spades HQ

I began wondering tonight if polls were overstating Republican support. Polls generally understate Republican support, of course, to the tune of 3-4 points. But not always. In Nate Silver’s cover-your-ass column explaining that Republicans could gain a lot more than…

Final Gallup Survey Shows Republicans Up 55% to 40% Among Likely Voters

    From: Gateway Pundit

The final Gallup Poll before the 2010 midterm shows that Republicans are up 55% to 40% among likely voters.

    Gallup reported:

The final USA Today/Gallup measure of Americans’ voting intentions for Congress shows Republicans continuing to hold a substantial lead over Democrats among likely voters, a lead large enough to suggest that regardless of turnout, the Republicans will win more than the 40 seats needed to give them the majority in the U.S. House.

The results are from Gallup’s Oct. 28-31 survey of 1,539 likely voters. It finds 52% to 55% of likely voters preferring the Republican candidate and 40% to 42% for the Democratic candidate on the national generic ballot — depending on turnout assumptions. Gallup’s analysis of several indicators of voter turnout from the weekend poll suggests turnout will be slightly higher than in recent years, at 45%. This would give the Republicans a 55% to 40% lead on the generic ballot, with 5% undecided.

Tsunami Warning: Final Gallup Survey Shows Republicans Up 55% to 40% Among Likely Voters

    From: Gateway Pundit

    Tsunami Warning–
The final Gallup Poll before the 2010 midterm shows that Republicans are up 55% to 40% among likely voters.
The model predicts that the Republicans could gain anywhere from 60 seats on up.

    Gallup reported, via Free Republic:

…Gallup’s historical model suggests that a party needs at least a two-point advantage in the national House vote to win a majority of the 435 seats. The Republicans’ current likely voter margin suggests that this scenario is highly probable, making the question of interest this election not whether the GOP will win the majority, but by how much. Taking Gallup’s final survey’s margin of error into account, the historical model predicts that the Republicans could gain anywhere from 60 seats on up, with gains well beyond that possible.
