“What man or mouse with a fully functioning human brain and a résumé as thin as Palin’s would flirt with a presidential run? It makes the political biography of Barack Obama look more like Winston Churchill’s, despite the fact that the 44th president breezed into the Oval Office as little more than a glorified state [...]
John McCain Eulogizes Senate Career of ‘Irreplaceable’ Russ Feingold, Just Before Feingold is Replaced

I’m reminded yet again about why I plugged my nose when I voted for John McCain in 2008.
McCain’s emotional goodbye to liberal Democrat Russ Feingold played out like an over-lengthy eHarmony.com ad. Hey, there’s nothing wrong with a RINO giving a farewell smooch to a liberal he vehemently disagreed with a full 19% of the time, but a show of tongues ruins the occasion.
True, the duo’s McCain/Feingold law helped take the money out of politics (only a record-setting $5.3 billion spent in the 2008 cycle), but this occasion was about more than just celebrating their successes.
McCain: “Without intending it as a commentary on his successor, I have to confess, I think the Senate will be a much poorer place without Russ Feingold in it… I don’t think he is replaceable.”
Of course Feingold’s replaceable. Ron Johnson will be sworn in next month. I think that’s the problem with politicians in general — they fool themselves into thinking they’re not replaceable. The problem is, sometimes they’re right:

Pakistani-Saudi relations were not the only casualty from the Wikileaks release this week. The far left Obama Administration is getting pummeled by the disclosures. And, democratic darling Hillary Clinton is taking a huge hit.
Now there’s this…
Leftist hero Julian Assange called for Hillary Clinton to resign today.
Talk about a major political dilemma?
Do the anti-American leftists listen to their fabulous new anti-American hero or do they rush to defend liberal icon Hillary Clinton?
What to do?… What to do?…
TIME Mag reported:
Hillary Clinton, Julian Assange said, “should resign.” Speaking over Skype from an undisclosed location on Tuesday, the WikiLeaks founder was replying to a question by TIME managing editor Richard Stengel over the diplomatic-cable dump that Assange’s organization loosed on the world this past weekend. Stengel had said the U.S. Secretary of State was looking like “the fall guy” in the ensuing controversy, and had asked whether her firing or resignation was an outcome that Assange wanted. “I don’t think it would make much of a difference either way,” Assange said. “But she should resign if it can be shown that she was responsible for ordering U.S. diplomatic figures to engage in espionage in the United Nations, in violation of the international covenants to which the U.S. has signed up. Yes, she should resign over that.
