Your Tax Dollars at Work… NPR Crank Says Romney’s Trip to Poland Was Racially Motivated

From: Gateway Pundit

It Was Racist!

Your tax dollars at work… Paying for some NPR crank to call Romney a racist on public radio.

Cokie Roberts told the NPR audience that Mitt Romney’s trip to Poland was racially motivated.
Breitbart reported:

You can listen for yourself here, but when Roberts was asked why Poland, the sole motive Roberts came up with is a racial one.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you your tax dollars at work:

LINDA WERTHEIMER, HOST: So today is Poland. Why is he stopping in Poland. What does he hope to accomplish with that?

Cokie Roberts: Well, I think part of it was a desire to portray President Obama as something of a wimp, and say he’s abandoned Eastern Europe. But look, you remember well the Reagan Democrats. Those ethnic white voters who had been Democrats for many years; turned out for Ronald Reagan, and have been fairly predictable Republicans since then. Now it’s a smaller percentage of the population — of the voting population — than it used to be, but white voters are still much more Republican than any other group in the electorate. They went for McCain in 2008 by 55%. And I think that getting those ethnic voters excited is really what Romney has in mind here. It’s more for the folks at home — the descendents of the people that he will be speaking to — in Poland.

As you can see, according to Roberts, Romney didn’t go to Poland to gain some foreign policy experience or to prepare himself to be president or to help differentiate between his values and those of our current president. No, it was all some dark, divisive, cynical, racial plan to suck up to us rural white bitter-clingers.

Yep, Romney went to Poland to blow a big racial dog-whistle.

Ted Cruz Trounces GOP Establishment Favorite David Dewhurst In TX Primary

    From: Gateway Pundit

And they told us the tea party was dead…

Ted Cruz campaigned in Houston on Tuesday as Texas voters went to the polls to determine the Republican nominee for the United States Senate seat being vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison. (NY Times)

Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz trounced Lt. Governor David Dewhurst in the Texas primary tonight.
    The AP reported:

Tea party darling Ted Cruz trounced the Republican establishment favorite, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, in Texas’ runoff election Tuesday, winning the GOP nomination to replace retiring U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison in an outcome that figured to reverberate far beyond the Lone Star State.

The race had been closely watched nationally, seen as one of America’s most-vivid contrasts between the GOP mainstream and the tea party. But as results began to pour in, it turned out to be no contest – with Cruz grabbing early leads in key cities around the state where Dewhurst had once enjoyed stronger name recognition, fundraising and political organization just weeks earlier.

Overseeing the state Senate from the powerful lieutenant governor’s post since 2003, Dewhurst was long considered a slam dunk in his race with Cruz, the son of a Cuban immigrant and former state solicitor general. Dewhurst had the endorsement of much of Texas’ Republican mainstream, including Gov. Rick Perry, who despite his failed run for president was still widely popular back home. He also had a $200 million personal fortune he could dip into at will and did, loaning his Senate campaign at least $24.5 million.

Michael Phelps Makes History – The Greatest Olympian Ever!

    From: Gateway Pundit

    Michael Phelps made history tonight.
With his medal in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay he became the most decorated Olympian ever.

    WbalTV reported:

Michael Phelps swam into history with his 19th Olympic medal, and this one was a more appropriate color.

With a lot of help from his friends, Phelps took down the last major record that wasn’t his alone, swimming the anchor leg for the United States in a gold medal-winning performance of the 4×200-meter freestyle relay Tuesday night.

About an hour earlier, Phelps took one of the most frustrating defeats of his brilliant career, making a shocking blunder at the finish and settling for silver in his signature event, the 200 butterfly.

That tied the record for career medals held by Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina, but it was hardly a triumphant moment. Phelps slung away his cap in disgust and struggled to force a smile at the medal ceremony.

But any disappointment from that race was gone by the time he dived in the water on the relay, having been staked to a huge lead by teammates Ryan Lochte, Conor Dwyer and Ricky Berens.

New Ad Reminds Us Obama’s Foreign Policy Sucks Too (Video)

    From: Gateway Pundit

You thought his domestic policy was bad. Don’t forget about his failed foreign policy…
…And all that bowing nonsense. Geesh.
    Via Are We Safer?:

In this post 9/11 world we live in, we must ask…have the policies of President Obama made us safer from terrorist attacks? His administration is shrinking our military, dismantling our intelligence sector, all but abandoned Israel.

Of course, the far left is already out bashing the ad.
